Mobile Area Chamber is a member-driven, nonprofit organization with more than 2,200 members, representing more than 108,000 employees.
As a private business organization, the Chamber’s mission is simple and direct: to serve as a progressive advocate for business needs to promote the Mobile area’s economic well-being.

The Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce was incorporated under the name Mobile Commerce and Business League in 1836.

In 1986, leaders of the Disabled American Veterans National Organization set up the DAV Charitable Service Trust to advance initiatives that might not fit easily into the scheme of what is traditionally offered through the VA, state veterans' programs, or the veterans' service organizations.

The DAV Charitable Service Trust supports physical and psychological rehabilitation programs that provide direct service to ill, injured, or wounded veterans.
